went pretty well!! I mean, I messed up a couple times and so did the band. But whatever, it wasn't that bad. It was pretty cool. Ummm not much else to say othern than reference to an old entry. It had complained about Matthew being a jerk about my concert and not even telling me I did a good job. This afternoon it WAS bad and he was being a butt. BUT he was awesome at the concert and when he was droping me off he said "You were great tonight lover." It was pretty awesome. And he told me lots of times that I was way to hard on myself. It was nice, made me happy. =) |

March 31, 2007 To Whom It May Concern: Being a member of the National Honor Society has always been something I have hoped for and looked forward to. Leadership, character, and service are all of part of me and of my life. They help to shape me as a growing and developing individual in society. By being a leader, I gain self-confidence and self-respect, as well as the respect of others. I want people to be able to look up to me. A strong character is one of the most important things I could want to possess. I hope to create and maintain one that gives off a good impression of responsibility and dedication. I have always been involved with services that help the community, although since I started high school, they have become even more common. They have spread to include many aspects of my life. Throughout my life I have enjoyed being around and helping children. When I was younger and was presented with the opportunity to help my mother teach a summer preschool program at the school she works in, I jumped at the chance. I was able to do this for four summers. Being around the young children exposed me to seeing how much learning takes place between when you are their age, and just as little as 5 or 6 years later. Spending time with them made me learn how to lead and teach them. I helped conduct organized activities and also helped to take care of them. Since being in high school, I have had even more involvement with younger kids by helping the friend and classmate with her Silver Award for Girl Scouts. She had set up an Instrument Petting Zoo for younger Girl Scouts. At the event there were crafts, activities, and various percussion instruments for the kids to experiment with. I helped out and at the end played a few songs with some other classmates from the high school band. I want to be able to lead by example, and so far, I feel I have. Through interacting with people both inside and outside of school, I have been able to observe what most consider to be a good person with a strong character. Some of the qualities admired are understanding, cooperation, determination, perseverance, and a kind disposition. I believe that I am capable of working towards all of those qualities and have already begun. In my school work, I try to never give up. If there is something I can’t comprehend right away, I work until I have a satisfactory understanding of the concept. I listen to people when they are having difficulty, whether it be with school or life in general and do my best to show them I care and try to help them work out whatever may be troubling them. I get along well with my peers and try not to get into any trouble with my teachers and members of the administration. I prefer to be respected by them, and not thought negatively of. I do my best, trying to work to my highest potential, and always attempt to have a smiling face while doing so. Community service has grown into a large part of my life. When I have an opportunity to help out in the public, I try to take it. I know that community service is an important thing to be involved in. Not only that, but it is rewarding. It doesn’t involve monetary reward, but gives you a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction afterwards. I have done things like help the middle school band, play in the high school band at a Veteran’s Day ceremony, played Christmas carols for factory workers during the day, and assisted at two Halloween parties run by the Excel Club at the local movie theater for the kids in our town. Most recently, I helped out at a “Moosical Extravaganza” at our town hall. It was being conducted to help raise funds to save the Raucher Farm in our town. We want to preserve the open space so it can not be developed on. By supporting good causes, I am both helping the community and myself. I get exposed to issues and am able to help out the people around me. I work my hardest to achieve what I can, and try my best to help others. I am a leader to those who look up to me and possess a respectable character that hopefully can encourage others to follow in my footsteps. The services I have completed for my community have gone towards special causes and have been a help to the citizens of my area. I feel I fulfill the tenets requested of me, and hope I will be seriously considered to be a member of the National Honor Society. Thank you for your time, Jessica L. Strickland |

that losing a friend might just be the worst feeling in the world. It's at least pretty damn close. I was up until like 1:10 or 1:15am last night on the phone with Matthew. He made me feel better. Talking about him having had to accept that "he who i don't feel like naming" had changed, as well. The whole thing seemed kind of backwards, since "he" had said almost that same thing abut Matthew once. But whatever. Time to finish bio homework. |

Hhahahahaha. Right now I'm listening to N*Sync!!! lol it's amazingly crazy. =P So anyway, I've been feeling pretty good great since last night. Well, except for the whole I got an 89 on my bio medterm. So much for my goal of all 90s or above. Well, he says we're gonna go over them tomorrow, so we'll see if I can get some of them good ol' extra points. =D Math I think I did okay. I know I got one wrong and I didn't reduce another. =\ But she gives partial credit, so I'll still get some credit for the non-reduced one. Just not the one wrong, 'cause I didn't really have any work to be graded. I was dumb and forgot how to do a stupid factoring thing where A didn't equal 1. I forgot that there was more than just the 2 numbers equaling the other one. Ya, I'm a loooser. Oh well. History went alright. I got 3 or 4 multiple choice ones wrong for sure, but they were only one point a piece, so I think I'm still pretty good. I like love making people I care about feel better. It feels mightily wonderful. " thanks for being there i dont think anybody else could have helped me like you just did." Ya, it's not too often I get to hear that. I actually got an almost nap today!!! Then my dad called and "woke" me up and made me go out into the kitchen to read him the list. Ah well. Anyway, I'm hoping for a snowday BIG time tomorrow. I'm pissed, though. The weather that Emily and my mom saw said 3-5 inches(which makes it look likely) and the one I saw with my dad said 1-3 inches(a lot less likely). They were on different stations and I don't know which one was right!! AHHH!!! Pth, ickyness. Well, if there is one I wanna do something with like Matthew or Matthew and JJ since none of us would have to drive on the gross roads. Goodness, I can't believe I just typed up EIGHTY SEVEN vocab words just for the sake of studying!!! I'm in an awesome mood. EVERYONE!!! REMEMBER you have to put a SPOON under your pillow, wear your pajamas insideout and dance crazily before you go to bed tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha. YOu know you wanna do it, so do it!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
.jpg) Yes, New Years with Emily(and her and tacia's families-later on tacia too) at Tacia's house was wonderful. Can't beat good ol' Sparkling Grape juice, right Emily? (Ahem, of course I mean wine. Right......) Drinking it out of giant martini glasses always helps!!! =P So, um, who were those people who came back from last place to WHOOP both teams of adults in Pictionary??? Who were they?? Hmmmm? Ya, that's what I thought. ME AND EMILY!!! Lol. We rock. And Emily almost won Apples to Apples, but we stopped playing to eat before the game ended. AH! I PICKED EMILY'S DAD'S ANSWER EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was mucho angry at him afterwards. =D 'Twas fun. Dirty words count for 3 times the normal score of the word in Scrabble, BTW. Hahaha. Then I slept in my clothes using a new toothbrush Emily's family provided me from 2:30am until, like, 11:10am. Tacia got up at 9:30 to leave at 10. Me and Emily just kinda ignored it.  Yes, I'm in love with these two people. They are amazing and beautiful, and there is absolutely no denying it what-so-ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehheh. You're all jealous. They're wonderful. Today was pretty good overall, though Chelsea tried like 50 times to make me go to the bathroom with her during the movie so she could find out why I was sobbing. But I declined the "offers". And eventually I got better. I can't honestly explain why I was crying. Emily, just so you know, it's not your fault. I had already cried before that. It just kinda set it off, and a bit worse. But it woulda happened eventually. So, ya. Pizza Hut was wicked fun. The mall was alright. I personally thought the movie was pretty good, but Emily and Jacob disagreed. =\ Oh well. It had some pretty funny stuff in it though. I just did the "nobody" knock-knock joke to my parents separately, and they both completely fell for it!!! It was amazing. OMG! The airzooka is AWESOME!!! We put it together at the end(Matthew's) and we were playing with it in the food court. =P You're jealous. Lol. But anyway...Matthew kinda did a bad thing by mistake. I'll tell ya about it later. So ya...we got our Christmas tree today. =) We coulsn't find a good place to cut our own down quick enough, so we had to get a pre-cut one. =( It was still fun, though! We almost stole a tree that another family wanted. Heehee!! But we didn't, even though it was one of the most amazing trees I had ever seen. =P So then I went to JJ's, 'cause he was my ride to the movie and such, and I went up to his room and had to watch him play Gears Of War for a few minutes. Pthhh...But ya, last night me and Tacia slept over the amazing Emily's home. When I got there, they had already made a menorah and were cutting out their hands to make a Kwanza wreath. =D So I started preparing paper to be cut into Christmas snowflakes. The menorah went on her dresser, the Kwanza wreat(in black, green, and red) on her closet and we hung the many snowflakes from strings on her ceiling. They looked grand. Then Emily and Tacia put eye make-up on me. (It was my second time ever with eye make-up on, and the last time Liz had no freaking clue what she was doing and put loads and loads of make-up on me. lol) So ya, that was fairly dandy. Hmmm...Let's see if I can get a pic on here.....please hold.
 Yup yup, That'd be me. I'm practically in love with this picture!! Lol. Good idea, Emily!! Muchas gracias!!! Let's see...what else happened...?? Well, we watched The Butterfly Effect. I like that movie very mucho. Lol. Then we came up with ways for Emily to get "ConeHO!"(aka Ribbon), then made some notes that she could pass him. Hehhehheh. Emily was very embarassed. =D It was fun. Ya, Tacia molested me in her sleep again...then we ate cereal(btw, the consonants in that word are the only ones that can be doubled in spanish words!!) and sand "A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT! KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT! A PIZZA HUT A PIZZA HUT! KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT! MCDONALDS! MCDONALDS! KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND A PIZZA HUT!" So that was good. And we listened to Chelsea's itinerary. It was pretty sweet. I'm enjoying writting this entry. It has been tons of fun!! I think that I can't wait until Christmas!!!!! I just wish there was snow....
 Yes, snow is a beautiful thing. Don't you miss it?? I just wanna wake up one morning, look out my window and see WHITE EVERYWHERE. That would be so perfect. Well, we've goten pretty much none down here, but I'll be in NH on Christmas Eve and morning, so maybe there's hope for that?? I sure do hope so...That'd be the best. Is this entry too long? I think it might be, but I'm in a good mood, so ya. OOOOHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!! MY DAD MADE COOKIES TODAY!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Well, things are a bit better recently. They go up and down a lot. Life can get mighty confusing, you know? Plus, my nails are pale purple with blue sparkles!! Who could see that coming? Everything's crazy. Just crazy. I don't know WHAT exactly is going on with Matthew, but I'm trying real hard to do what he suggested and not think about the future. Live and cherish how things are RIGHT NOW. It's just ahrd, you know? Existing and not thinking about that fact that in less than a year, your life might be turned COMPLETELY UPSIDE DOWN. And I just know...I can't handle that. It would/will kill me. God damn JJ's migraine today and strange absense all weekend. I haven't been able to tell him about the college thing or last night. Which might be akward to tell him, but I want to.
Hmmm...I felt so freaking HOT all day today. So I was like "I probably have a fever like everyone else has been getting." So I come home, take my temperature(while really hot from the walk home, and it's 98.2 degrees. What the hell??? Then I took it again later after I had cooled down again. 98.2 degrees. So I've got an anti-fever. Whatever. It feels crappy. I'm hot. I've had chest/back pain all day. Not the best day of my life, but luckily, DOUBLE OF BAND TOMORROW to make me feel all better!
Ya...I have to clean Dante's cage and do my homework, and shower, and eat dinner, and possibly see Matthew and AHHHHH. I don't have that much hw, though. Spanish, Bio, Math, and some AP that isn't due until Wednesday. That could be a lot worse.
What are my plans this weekend?? Hmmm...Football game on friday. That should be fun. Gotta remember to try on smaller shoes, though. Maybe longer pants. But then they'll be too big. Ergh. Maybe I'll just where my old black soccer socks and pull them over the bottoms of my jeans. That might work. I can't believe we're actually gonna do a half time show. I hope it works well. Though, ya know, having only 22 people, all of which have never done a show before, might make it a little difficult. We could still make my lightning bolt, though. Even if the cheerleaders won't make the AC and DC on either side of it. We'll have to try. We'll probably go over to the field tomorrow during the double.
What about Saturday and Sunday? I need to make some plans. I'll hang out with Matthew one of the days. But what about the other day? Bolton Fair has to be soon. Maybe this weekend. It was the 24th last year. So who knows. But I just realized I'll probably wanna be with Matthew on Sunday(7 months) and Catie and Tacia will want to be with Shawn/Joel on Saturday(5 months, 11 months). So hmmm...Emily??? Lol. Saturday? You and me?? Lol. Well, I think I'm gonna go do my hw now. Funness. I'll be online again later. Adios for now!!!

I'm NOT going to break up with Matthew. And I swear, if ONE MORE PERSON suggests it, I'm going to have a mental freaking breakdown. So for my own sake, can people NOT tell me they "think I should" or that "if they were me, they would". Because I don't even care at all anymore. No one IS me. No one is in MY head. Most people don't know that as shitty as Matthew ever gets, I ALWAYS smile when I see him. If you don't see a smile on my face that's because I saw him before you and have already had time to realize that I'm mad at him and shouldn't be smiling. Also people need to keep things in perspective. YOU GUYS aren't used to seeing your bf/gf every day. Matthew is NOT a bad bf. ONE: He doesn't know any better, remember?? TWO: Stuff has happened to him we don't know about. I wish I DID know, but the fact is, I don't. None of us do. That's just the way it is. That's just the way HE is. He doesn't mean to do any of the stuff that upsets me. He's not lying. He just...doesn't know. He doesn't get it, and it'a not his fault. I don't want you guys to think that I'm not mad at him at all, or that I forgive him for how he is sometimes, I'm just beginning to HATE everyone telling me how bad he is. I KNOW it's my fault. I KNOW it's because I tell you guys about how he is and what he does. I ALSO know that he was MORE than wrong for ditching Tacia and Emily. I HATE that he did that. But you really have to accept that he honestly doesn't mean to hurt people when he does things. He really doesn't. He just...Matthew. And sidenote to Tacia: He TOLD us he wasn't the person we thought he was. He TOLD us that he wasn't a great person. He wanted us to know. He wanted to protect us. Neither of us listened. One of us he ditched, and the other he's dating, but isn't exactly a great bf to. For anyone that reads this that does NOT know me or Matthew DON'T YOU DARE JUDGE EITHER OF US BY THIS ENTRY. I'm venting, and you don't need to be reading this anyway. You don't know me and I don't know you. To my friends, I just felt like getting all of this out here. Partially because I was bored and had nothing better to do, and partially because it's important to me. Don't be offended by anything I said in here, and please don't get mad at me.
